Everything You Need to Know About CUET 2023

As Class 12th exams are coming to an end, there are a lot of changes in the admission process. The confusion about this year's exams has led to many changes. If you're planning to apply for undergraduate programs in central universities, you'll need to take the CUET 2022 entrance exam. This exam is now the common entrance exam for all central universities, and it covers undergraduate degrees like B.Sc, BA, BCom, BBA, BMS, B.Voc, and more.

The CUET (UG) – 2022 will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) Mode

Starting from 2nd April 2022, you can apply online for undergraduate programs by clicking on the link provided on the official website. If you're interested in taking the CUET (UG) - 2022 exam, please review the eligibility criteria for your desired university/universities before selecting the available UG program options. The application period for these programs will run from 02.04.2022 to 30.04.2022.

CUET (UG) – 2022 Will Consist of the Following 4 Sections:

➢ Section IA – 13 Languages

➢ Section IB – 20 Languages

➢ Section II – 27 Domain-specific Subjects

➢ Section III – General Test

Choosing options from each Section is not mandatory.

To increase your chances of getting into the university you desire, it's important to choose the right options that match the university's requirements. Keep in mind that each central university may have its own eligibility criteria and may accept different sections of the admission test. For instance, if you're planning to apply to Delhi University, you will need to take the CUET 2022 exam and ensure that you meet the specific eligibility criteria and that the sections you are taking are acceptable for the university. By doing this, you can ensure that you are well-prepared and meet the requirements needed for admission.

To clear the exam, candidates need to follow certain guidelines. They can select a maximum of two languages from Section IA and Section IB, taken together. However, one of the chosen languages must be in lieu of domain-specific subjects. There are 27 subjects available in Section II, and candidates can select a maximum of six domain subjects. The third section is a general test. By keeping these guidelines in mind, candidates can ensure that they are well-prepared for the exam and meet the necessary requirements.

To clear the exam, candidates need to follow certain guidelines. They can select a maximum of three languages from Section IA and Section IB, taken together. However, one of the chosen languages must be in lieu of domain-specific subjects. In Section II, there are 27 subjects available, and candidates can select a maximum of five domain subjects. The third section is a general test. By keeping these guidelines in mind, candidates can ensure that they are well-prepared for the exam and meet the necessary requirements.

Specific central universities will provide more clarity on the eligibility criteria and which sections of the test each student needs to attempt. Currently, there is no information available on whether Class XII marks will be considered along with the CUET 2022 exam in the admission process. It's important for candidates to stay updated with the latest information from the universities they are interested in applying to. By doing so, they can ensure that they are well-prepared and meet all the necessary requirements for admission.

Personal Suggestions

It's important for students to focus on their board exams, as some universities may consider their Class XII score as part of the admission process. In addition to board exam preparation, students should also focus on basic language, logical reasoning, general knowledge, and general aptitude. These skills will not only be helpful in the CUET 2022 exam but also in any other entrance exams they may need to take. By preparing in these areas, students can increase their chances of success in their academic pursuits.

For students continuing a similar degree as what they are studying in Class XII, domain-specific exams will be related to the knowledge of Grade XI and XII. They can revise their concepts from the earlier classes to ensure they are well-prepared for the exam. However, for those who are thinking of changing their domain, it's important to start practicing the NCERT of the particular subject. For instance, if someone wants to pursue Psychology (Hons.) but did not study Psychology as a subject in Class XI and XII, they should start reading up on it and practicing questions based on the NCERT. This will help them gain a better understanding of the subject and increase their chances of success in the exam.

All the best!  Consider this like an aptitude test for admission.
